REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION

To be eligible for employment at Arrupe Jesuit College, every applicant  :

Faculty and Non-Academic staff must have the proper academic and professional qualifications. To this end, it is expected that:

  • An applicant for teaching employment must have a B.A or B.Sc., plus a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or a B.Ed. or Master in any recognized educational qualifications and certifications approved by relevant authorities. PhD is not needed.
  • Non-Academic professional staff must have appropriate qualifications and/or license
  • Faculty and Non-Academic must have a minimum computer literacy.
  • The Administrative secretary must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe PageMaker, and CorelDraw. Any higher degree or qualification, especially in Secretarial Studies and a good command of the English Language is an advantage
  • ICT/Computer study teachers must be experienced and enthusiastic in data processing, coding, graphic design software, and robotics.
ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF

Job Descriptions

  • Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
  • Answers phone calls, schedules meetings and supports visitors.
  • Carries out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects and expediting work results.
  • Makes travel arrangements for senior staff such as booking flights, cars, and hotel or restaurant reservations.
  • Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
  • Supports team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.
  • Develops administrative staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
  • Ensures equipment operation by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Provides information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, and placing and expediting orders for supplies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    ICT SUPPORT STAFF

    Job Descriptions

    • This position is responsible for the daily operational activities of IT operations
    • The main tasks are to configure and support an organization’s local area network (LAN), WAN, and WLAN. Maintain network software including Active Directory, Exchange 2013, office 365, Hyper-V, and hardware including Switches, Firewalls, Servers, and VCs devices.
    • Monitor the network to ensure network availability to all systems, and users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. Coordinate, and implement network security measures.
    • Minimum 2-3 years experience in IT system administration.
    • The following GENERIC competencies/ behavioral skills add significant value to the performance of the job:
    • Strong skills in Active Directory, Exchange server, and office 365 skills
    • Good knowledge of MS Server Products, networking ( WAN, VPN, Switching, Wireless, Firewall)
    • Solid understanding of firewall rules, VLAN, and Switches configurations
    • Windows 2012 Hyper-V – solid understanding
    • Must be confident, assertive, and a team player
    • Possesses Problem Solving & Analysis.
    • GOOD COMMUNICATION AND PRESENTATION SKILLS ARE A MUST
    • Ability to set up, configure, troubleshoot and support Windows clients, servers, and active directory.
    • Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization
    • Analytical thinking combined with the ability to interact confidently with Windows clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution.
    • Ability to improve the present systems passionately.
    • Knowledge of virtualization Systems (Hyper-V, WMware) is an asset
    • Fluent in English.

     

    Experience and Certifications Requirements

    • CompTIA A+, CompTIA security+, CCNA, and MCSA are added advantage

A medical attestation from a reputable hospital/doctor is needed.
